So I'm going to get a little personal here, you see this year... I herniated a disc in my back, and I never want my customers to experience that pain. So honey, we have people for that now. I will bring in the big guns to do the heavy lifting.
And we will arrange to pay up to $350 toward movers to do all the heavy lifting. We are taking the work out of selling for you.
As we are prepping your home for sale, I recommend packing away anything that you can live without for a few weeks. Store it neatly in the garage. This in more inviting to buyers and helps sell your home faster and for more money.
I highly recommend using Moving Pods. These can be delivered to you home and you can start packing and storing boxes in the pod. You can keep the pod as long as you need, they bill you monthly. And you can schedule for them to move your pod to storage or your new home.
Another great tip is to have a garage sale and sell some of those items that don't fit the new house. Let us know and we can coordinate an open house with your garage sale, this may help find the perfect buyers.
I highly recommend buying clothes boxes to easily move your wardrobe. This can be a life saver when trying to unpack.
And remember LABEL all boxes by room to allow for the movers to place boxes in the correct rooms.
Also have a basic idea of which furniture belongs in which room. You could use painters tape to label furniture. The more organized you are for movers, the less work you have to unpack.
Pack a suitcase with a few days of clothes, medicine and toiletries for the first few days. Another great idea is to pack a picnic basket with paper plates, cups, napkins, snacks and waters (toilet paper and trash bags). This will help on your first night in your new home.
